About Ordering & Shipping

You can easily place an order by adding products to your cart, then proceeding to checkout. Fill in your complete shipping information and choose the appropriate payment method. Finally, click "Complete Order" to confirm.

Before placing the order, please verify that all fields in the My Profile section are properly filled up.

We provide standard nationwide shipping services through India Post or other suitable couriers. Estimated delivery time is 2-5 working days depending on your address. Delivery charge of Rs.40/- on purchases up to Rs.200/-. Delivery charge of Rs.60/- on purchases between Rs.201/- to Rs.499/-. Free shipping on purchases worth Rs. 500/- and above. We frequently have free shipping programs; please follow the Promotions page for more details.

After logging in, you can access the "My Orders" section from the account menu in the top right corner. Here, you will see a list of all placed orders and their current status.
In case of current order the following status are displayed;
1. Pending Confirmation- When order is successfully placed
2. Confirmed- When all the ordered books are ready for dispatch
3. Out for Delivery- When books are dispatched
4. Delivered- When India Post/ Courier services confirmed delivery of Books
5. Completed- When prcess ends and the customer is satisfied receiving the Books.
6. Cancelled- When order is cancelled by Company due to any other reason like non-availability of Books/ Amount not received in due time in case of Pay Later or any other reason. The Customer can cancell the order also. In case of cancellation, money received, if any, will be returned within seven days of cancellation.

About Payment & Promotions

At present in the checkout page two options are there:
  • Payment through RazorPay payment gateway.
  • Pay Later(This option is for customers, who are not comfortable in online payments). We contact the customer for payment methods after an order is placed.

About Account & Policy

You will have to login with "Forgot Password Option". Put last three digits of your Telephone number, you can access and change your password.

  • RETURN POLICY
  • No return / refund for a confirmed order.
  • Replacement of damaged / incomplete books supplied may be made with free postal charges.
  • If the book delivered is damaged or a wrong title / material has been sent, it will be replaced.
  • If the original book is recalled, shalandi.in will bear the cost of recall.
  • Such complaints will be entertained only if they are lodged within two days of the delivery and found valid.
  • CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
  • In the unlikely event that a book ordered by a customer is not available in stock, payment will be refunded.
  • The refund / replacement will be initiated as soon as we receive the product from you.
  • You can use the search bar at the top of the page by entering the book title, author, or a related keyword. Alternatively, you can browse books by the "Categories" available in the main menu to discover more interesting titles.
